Stop Pooping in His Kennel?
So We have tried a Kennel that is fit to his size we have tried a large kennel with a divider as well as the whole large kennel. He just wont stop every day! It is getting so frustrating. We take him in our yard to poop and he won’t poop in our yard either we have to take him for a walk which we do every morning and he poops on the walk but then we take him home and put him in his Kennel for the day and still poop every day when we come home! I don’t know what else to do….
Where did you get this puppy from? Was it from a backyard breeder, shelter, or a puppy store? If so then these are fairly common problems. Many times at these locations the owners or breeders don’t let the puppies out when they have to elminate. The result is a puppy that has learned to go in his kennel even though his instincts told him not to in the beginning. Your best bet is to get a professional trainer. You should stop using the kennel too. It is not working and only reinforcing his dirty behavior. Block him off in the kitchen or another room that you can clean up easily would be the best. You may want to take him to the vet because it may not be just a behavioral problem; something could be wrong with him physically.
